Cedar Street - Leavenworth, WA

Transformed a Leavenworth family’s astroturf backyard into a biodiverse and edible landscape. Pulled up the turf, dug up the gravel and landscape cloth, planted about 40 new species of plants, installed drip irrigation, built a wire grape trellis, and mulched with woodchips and organic straw. They now have two raised beds with automated irrigation, high-yielding native food plants, cultivated edible perennial plants, and an assortment of other climate-adapted plants which should provide food and habitat for all kinds of critters.
